Routing Routing is available in SOLIDWORKS® Premium. Contents 3D Route Changes in Flattened Routes You can update a 3D route by adding or deleting items such as connectors, clips, branches, and splices. When you flatten the 3D route, the software updates the flattened route with the 3D route changes. Color for Electrical Coverings You can set the color for electrical coverings through the Routing Library Manager and view the colors in the Coverings PropertyManager, under Layer Properties. Connector Blocks You can create connector blocks for parts and assembly connectors with the Create Connector Block PropertyManager and the Routing Library Manager. Create Multiple Connection Points You can create multiple connection points in parts. Length Leaders for Flattened Routes You can show length leaders when you flatten routes with the Flatten Route PropertyManager. Manufactured-Style Flattened Route You can adjust the angle of a line or an arc from the X-axis when you edit the manufactured-style flattened route. Mass and Density of Cables and Wires Minimum Bend Radius You can create a route part if the bend radius of the cable, core, or wire is less than the minimum. Pipe Drawings You can specify the drawing template and the sheet format for pipe drawings with the Pipe Drawing PropertyManager. Reimport Electrical Data You can remove unused sketch segments and connectors from the route assembly when you update and reimport the From-To Excel or XML file using the Import Electrical Data PropertyManager. Show/Hide Flatten Route Items You can create 3D connectors and connector blocks simultaneously when you create flattened route drawings for route assemblies.
