Scaling for High-Resolution Displays

SOLIDWORKS Visualize supports displays with 4K and higher resolution.

Icons and buttons scale so that their appearance does not degrade or become blurry on high-resolution and high-pixel density displays.

Except for the viewport, all aspects of the user interface respond to the Microsoft Windows® display scaling setting. In dialog boxes and the Palette, the software uses the display scaling setting to display icons and buttons at an appropriate size. Icons associated with text are scaled to a size appropriate for the text.

The viewport, which includes the preview of ongoing renders, does not scale. It always appears in the actual device pixels of the screen. Therefore, when you use a 4K monitor, the viewport appears smaller compared to other user interface elements. To change the resolution of the viewport, click Tools > Options > 3D Viewport and change the value for Maximum Resolution.
