Configuring your Model in SOLIDWORKS To configure your model in SOLIDWORKS: Start SOLIDWORKS. Open the sample file Test10-32Straight.SLDPRT in the 3DCC Tutorial Files folder in SOLIDWORKS. Click ConfigurationManager . Right-click the model name and select Configuration Publisher. In the Configuration Publisher dialog box, drag a List control to the Edit pane. Enter these control attributes: Drag a second List control to the Edit pane. Enter these control attributes: Drag a Number control to the Edit pane. Enter these control attributes: Drag a Checkbox control to the Edit pane. Enter these control attributes: Click 3DCC Preview to see how the controls will appear in 3D ContentCentral when the model is published. Notice the Supplier part number. This value updates as you configure controls. Supplier part number uses the value of $PARTNUMBER in the design table. Select and enter different values, then click Update Model to see how the model will change on 3D ContentCentral upon configuration. Review the model's design table to see how you can use VLOOKUP and CONCATENATE to generate part numbers for your models. To cycle through a portion or all of the defined configurations: In the Configuration Publisher dialog box, click Test. In Configuration Tester, click Begin Test. Click View log file to review the partnumbers, configuration names, rebuild status, and values for each configuration. To upload the model directly to your Supplier Services account on 3D ContentCentral, in the Configuration Publisher dialog box, click Upload to 3D ContentCentral and follow the prompts. Uploading with Configuration Publisher generates all possible part numbers for your model. These part numbers are searchable on 3D ContentCentral. If you do not want to generate part numbers, click Cancel during the part number generation to continue with the upload. Save and close the model.
