Due to the extensive redesign of SOLIDWORKS Plastics 2020, plastics
studies created in SOLIDWORKS Plastics 2019 and earlier releases are read-only.
You can open legacy plastics studies in SOLIDWORKS Plastics 2020, but you can
only interact with post-processing features, such as results export and report
creation.
After you import a legacy study into SOLIDWORKS Plastics 2020, the
software renders all nodes in the PlasticsManager tree inactive, except for Results and Display
Setup. You can use the active nodes to view the analysis results.
To create a new study after opening a legacy study, you must first add a
new configuration using the Configuration Manager
.
