Shell Mesh Commands Once you create a shell mesh, several commands appear under the Shell Mesh node. A green check on the Shell Mesh node indicates that a shell mesh is created. Right-click Shell Mesh to access these commands. Create Mesh Creates a surface mesh. Details Opens a panel with a detailed report about the mesh. Hide Mesh Model/Show Mesh Model Switches the visibility of the mesh model in the graphics area. You can also access this command from Mesh Model in the Plastics CommandManager. Nominal Wall Thickness Advisor Provides feedback on the thickness variations within the part cavity. Modify Local Thickness Overwrites the value of the local thickness calculated by the software. Flow Injection Factor Defines areas where the flow rate speed could decrease due to the presence of many small holes. Contents Mesh Details Report After creating a mesh, open the Mesh Details report to view mesh information. Nominal Wall Thickness PropertyManager The nominal wall thickness advisor provides feedback on the thickness variations within a part cavity. Modify Local Thickness PropertyManager You can overwrite the part thickness assigned automatically by the software. Flow Injection Factor PropertyManager The Flow Injection Factor is a mesh-based method that allows you to define areas of increased flow resistance, typically because of the presence of small holes or perforations in the model. The specification of this factor allows you to compensate for the shortcomings of the modeling assumptions inherent in the shell analysis procedure. Parent topicShell Mesh
