Intermediate Stage PropertyManager

Use this PropertyManager to find patterns and combine or re-recognize features.

To open this PropertyManager:

Click in the FeatureWorks PropertyManager to display this PropertyManager.

Recognized Features

List of recognized features Displays recognized features based on your selections in the FeatureWorks PropertyManager.
Find Patterns Opens the Pattern Recognition PropertyManager, which you use to identify patterns from the list of recognized features.
Combine Features Select features to combine from the list of recognized features, then click Combine Features.
You can combine:
  • Fillets
  • Chamfers
  • Holes on the same plane
  • Revolves and extrusions with sketches on the same plane and similar end conditions
You can automatically combine fillets, chamfers, and holes during automatic recognition. Click Insert > FeatureWorks > Options. Click Advanced Controls and under Automatic Recognition set the options.

Re-Recognize

After you recognize features using the FeatureWorks PropertyManager, you can re-recognize them as different features.
List of re-recognizable features Displays alternate feature types for re-recognition.
Re-Recognize Click to re-recognize features as alternate features.

You can re-recognize:

  • Cuts as revolves, extrudes, holes, or Hole Wizard holes
  • Bosses as revolves or extrudes
  • Holes or Hole Wizard holes as revolved or extruded cuts

For Hole Wizard holes, note these specifications. You can re-recognize:

  • Hole and Legacy Hole Wizard holes as cut revolves or cut extrudes and vice versa.
  • Counterbore Hole Wizard holes as cut revolves and vice versa.
  • Countersink, Tap, and Pipe Tap Hole Wizard holes as cut revolves and vice versa.
