Administrator Tasks

Administrators are typically responsible for managing user accounts and online licenses.

By default, the SOLIDWORKS software is set up to use machine activation. The basic steps for enabling online licensing with the Admin Portal are:
  1. If you already have the SOLIDWORKS software installed on a machine, manually deactivate the license.
  2. Set a product's activation type from machine activation to online licensing.
  3. Then assign products and services to members (users).
