Installing the Derived Format Converter

The Derived Format Converter converts the exact geometry in .SLDPRT and .SLDASM files for use in 3DEXPERIENCE modeling and simulation apps.

To install the Derived Format Converter:

  1. Log in to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

    If your company has an on-premises installation, contact your Administrator to get the sign-in link.

  2. On the top bar of the 3DDashboard, click the Compass .
  3. Under Me, click Derived Format Converter .
  4. Follow the prompts to install the Derived Format Converter .
  5. Click Compass > Derived Format Converter again to initialize the Convert feature so you can use it in the 3DEXPERIENCE Connector for SOLIDWORKS add-in.
