BOM Pane

The BOM (bill of materials) pane shows the BOM tree, which lists geometry actors with their BOM IDs, quantities, and other properties and meta-properties. The BOM tree defines what appears in the BOM table.

To display the BOM pane, click Window > Show/Hide > BOM Tree.

Notes:

  • If the BOM tree is empty, create BOM IDs from the BOM Workshop. See BOM Workshop.
  • To display the BOM table in the viewport, select Home > Visibility > BOM Table in the ribbon, or enable Panels > BOM in the Collaboration pane.

Tip: You can change the BOM Description by clicking a row in the BOM tree and pressing F2 . This does not change the group/actor name.

Icon Command Name Description
Show Visible Actors Only Includes only visible actors in the BOM tree and BOM table. To include all actors, unselect this command.

Tip: To define a default state for new documents, set BOM.Filter on the (Default) Document Properties - Advanced Properties page. See Advanced Properties.

Save BOM Tree Saves the BOM in XML, HTML, or CSV format.
Configure BOM Columns Displays the Configure Columns dialog box, where you select columns to display. See Configure Columns.
Show/Hide BOM Workshop Shows or hides the BOM Workshop, where you define and generate BOM IDs and callouts. See BOM Workshop.

Tip: You can change BOM IDs from the Properties pane of a geometry actor.
