Modeling a User Defined Route

The user defined route type allows you to define routes for rectangular and round ducts and other routes that do not conform to the standard piping, flexible tubing and electrical route types.

Typical applications include HVAC rigid air conditioning ducts, ventilation ducts, conveyers and chutes.

These routes can have either rectangular or circular cross sections. Routes with rectangular cross sections are particularly useful for modeling ducts, trays and chutes that are wide and flat. You can create routes for rectangular, square or circular ducts, trays and chutes that include bends, corners, tees, vents, fittings, clips, tie-downs and other features.

User defined routes are also useful for creating routing assemblies that include both rectangular and circular routes.
