Importing PageLayouts from Another Drawing

Use the PageLayoutIn command to import user-defined PageLayouts contained in other drawing files (.dwg), drawing exchange files (.dxf), or drawing template files (.dwt) into the current drawing.

Alternatively, you can import PageLayouts using the Page Layout Manager.

To import PageLayouts from another drawing:

  1. Type PageLayoutIn at the command prompt.
  2. In the dialog box, select the file name that contains the PageLayouts you want to import and click Open.
  3. In the Import Page Layouts dialog box, select one or more PageLayouts to import. Click OK.

    If a PageLayout with a same name already exists in your drawing, you can overwrite it with the imported PageLayout.

    Note: The imported PageLayouts appear in the Page Layout Manager, in the PageLayouts list for the current sheet.
