SOLIDWORKS PDM either updates a placeholder row or adds a new row to the
revision table in a SOLIDWORKS
drawing.
Whether SOLIDWORKS PDM updates a placeholder row or adds a new row depends on
certain conditions:
- Condition 1: The placeholder row exists in a SOLIDWORKS
drawing.
- Condition 2: The Revision value in the latest revision row of
the revision table in the SOLIDWORKS drawing matches with the Revision variable
value in SOLIDWORKS PDM.
SOLIDWORKS PDM updates the placeholder row if at least one condition is true
and adds a new row if both conditions are false.
Revision table integration supports the zone column only when
the placeholder row exists. The value of the zone variable varies with revision symbol
location.
