Embedded Search Commands

Commands for embedded searches appear on the SOLIDWORKS PDM menu bar when a search is active in Windows File Explorer.

	Start Search	Starts the search based on the search criteria.
	Clear Search	Clears the search criteria.
	Add to Favorites	Saves the search criteria and results.
	Open search result	Opens the search results in an Excel spreadsheet.
	Export search result	Exports the search results as a comma-separated value (.csv) file.
	Close search	Closes search view and returns to file view.
	Open Search	Opens a file-based search form in the upper-right pane.
	User menu	Lets you view the logged-in user and log out from Windows File Explorer.
	Favorite Searches	Lets you save search results as a Favorite search or choose an existing Favorite search. Favorite Searches are not available in SOLIDWORKS PDM Standard vaults.
