The
Template Editor lets you create and customize report templates. With the Template Editor,
you specify which fields map from inspection projects to inspection reports. This includes
project properties such as drawing name or revision, custom properties from drawings, and
properties from inspection characteristics such as inspection process and
method.
In the Template Editor, you can map fields from SOLIDWORKS Inspection projects
into Microsoft®
Excel® reports
so
that it automatically populates with SOLIDWORKS Inspection data. The
Template Editor uses tokens to map field values to reports.
You can customize the standard report templates included with SOLIDWORKS
Inspection, or you can customize your company's existing reports to use with SOLIDWORKS
Inspection.
