Extraction

On the Extraction page, you can specify project extraction settings.

To access this dialog box, click Home (ribbon) and click Options > Project Options > Extraction.

General Characteristic Extraction Settings (OCR & SmartExtract)

These settings apply to OCR and SmartExtract tools.

Characteristic Info

Create For Each Instance

Creates a separate instance for characteristics with quantities of more than one.

SmartExtract Settings

These settings apply to the SmartExtract tool only.

Dimensions

Include	Extracts dimensions from 3D models and 2D drawings. You can extract Basic, Feature, or Reference dimensions.
Inspection Only	Extracts inspection dimensions only. Does not extract basic or reference dimensions.
Auto-explode hole callouts

Notes

Include	Extracts notes from 3D models and 2D drawings. You can extract Datums, Datum Targets, and Flag Notes. If you select Flag Notes, you can also select Correlate Flag Notes and Extract full Flag Note text (supported for CATIA data only).
Auto-explode multi-line notes

GDTs

Include

Extracts geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GDT) feature control frames from 3D models and 2D drawings.

Welds

Include

Extracts weld symbols from 3D models and 2D drawings.

Surface Finishes

Include

Extracts surface finish symbols from 3D models and 2D drawings.

Load Invisible Components
