Heal Edges

You can merge multiple edges into a single edge. This is useful on imported parts, where edges sometimes import as multiple short edges.

1. Click Heal Edges (Features toolbar) or Insert > Face > Heal Edges.
2. In the PropertyManager, under Faces:
   • Select the faces whose edges you want to heal for Face(s) to Heal .
   • Set Angular Tolerance to the maximum angle between the edges to be merged.
   • Set Edge Length Tolerance to the maximum length of edges to be merged.

     For example, you might set Angular Tolerance to 2deg and Edge Length Tolerance to 5mm. Edges with angles less than 2° at the vertex between the edges, and length less than 5 millimeters, would then merge into one edge.

3. Click Heal Edges.
   Under Edge Information, Before and After display the number of edges in the part before and after the Heal Edges operation.
