CATIA Part and Product File Import

You can import CATIA^® V5 CATPart and CATProduct files.

The CATIA^® V5-SOLIDWORKS translator is available with SOLIDWORKS Premium.

To import CATIA V5 files:

Click File > Open.
Optional: 3DEXPERIENCE Users: If the Open from 3DEXPERIENCE dialog box appears, click This PC.
Navigate to the folder containing the CATIA part or product files to open.
For Files of type, select CATIA V5 (*.catpart;*.catproduct).
Select the CATPart or CATProduct file and open the file.
SOLIDWORKS imports the CATIA V5 file.
You can save an imported CATPart file as a SOLIDWORKS part file, and an imported CATProduct file as a SOLIDWORKS assembly.
