Inserting a 3D View in a Drawing

If you create 3D views in SOLIDWORKS MBD, you can insert them in drawing views. In addition, you can insert any annotations that you create in the 3D view if they are orthogonal to the drawing view.

1. In SOLIDWORKS MBD, create a 3D view.
2. In the drawing view, on the View Palette, select the 3D view.
3. Drag the 3D view to the drawing sheet and release.
4. Optionally, in the Drawing View PropertyManager, under Import options, select Import annotations and 3D View annotations.
