Drawing selector

Some of SOLIDWORKS Electrical features require project pages (such as drawings, folders, or books) to be selected. The Document selector helps you to do so.

Print management: Drawings selection > [...]

Export DWG files: Drawings selection > [...]

Export PDF files: Drawings selection > [...]

Terminal strip management: Destination folders

...

A dialog box opens allowing you to select the elements. The dialog box content is adjusted to its environment and display the elements (such as drawings, folders, or books) you have to select.

Properties: Opens the Properties dialog box for the selected element.

Preview: Opens the drawing in a preview dialog box. It cannot be modified in this view.

List mode: Displays a list of elements (name, description,...).

Thumbnail mode: Displays elements as thumbnail previews.

Configuration: Manages the display settings for items in the dialog box.

The dialog box contains also a filter area that can help you to find elements. Some other features can appear in the menu, depending of the context (Example: New folder in the Terminal strip Destination folder command).

Sometimes, you can find checkboxes before the element to select it. Example: In the Print command, when you select a Folder (check the box), you select all the drawings included in this folder.
