- Exercise #05
This exercise allows you to route the wires in the 3D layout. It is
based on the previous one, if you did not complete the Exercise
#04, you can download the electrical project file. Unarchive it in SOLIDWORKS Electrical.

Routing wires
1. Open the Cabinet
assembly.
2. Launch the wire routing.

3. Select the SOLIDWORKS
Route option.
Using the segregation
1. Delete the routing (The wire routing appears
in the SOLIDWORKS creation tree structure).
2. Click on the Segregation
icon in the SOLIDWORKS Electrical
tab to create a segregation rule.

Define the following segregation rules:
- The control wires (~24 V) will only run through the right-hand
vertical duct.
- The power wires (N, L1, L2, L3) will only run through the
left-hand vertical duct. |
3. Select the Wire
style mode.
4. Click the Select
wire style button.
5. In the wire style selector, select the
~24 V wire.
6. In the graphical area, select the left-hand
vertical duct, taking care to check that the selection mode is Exclude.
7. Repeat this operation for the power wires.
8. Restart routing in SOLIDWORKS
mode on all the components.
