Archive / Unarchive

Whichever Management dialog box you open, all of the features described below are common to all of the Management dialog boxes, differing only in content.

This feature should not be confused with the archiving / unarchiving of an electrical project. It involves archiving (to TEWZIP file) one or more elements (symbol, title block, or 2D footprint) to be unarchived on another workstation. The elements contained in the TEWZIP file are automatically placed in the library during unarchiving. This feature is used during exchanges of symbols, for example between two companies.

Symbol management: Archive (Unarchive)

Title block management: Archive (Unarchive)

2D footprint management: Archive (Unarchive)

Macro management: Archive (Unarchive)

Archive

1.     Select the elements you want to archive.

2.     Click the Archive icon.

A dialog box opens allowing you to save the archive file.

Unarchive

A dialog box opens where a TEWZIP file can be selected for unarchiving. The Update data wizard will open automatically. Refer to the Archive / Unarchive chapter for more information.
