Managing the Insertion point

For a symbol, the insertion point corresponds to a fictitious point used for insertion into the scheme. Generally, it corresponds to a connection point with a wire.

For a title block, the insertion point corresponds to the bottom left-hand corner of the title block. In general, to ensure data integrity (position of the cross references and origin-destinations polarity), we advise you to place the title block insertion point at coordinates "0,0".

The Insertion point feature can be also used in the specific macros used in XLS Automation.

Menu: Edit symbol > Insertion point (Symbols)

Menu: Edit title block > Insertion point (Title blocks)

Click a point corresponding to the insertion point in the graphical interface. An oblique red cross represents this point.
