Manage Data

SOLIDWORKS Electrical is constantly connected to the database. Certain data are specific to the current electrical project, other data are specific to the application, such as the manufacturer Catalogs or the Library management.

Electrical project data are updated automatically while creating schematics and during the use of the different processes.

The application data (libraries or catalogs) is used to create schematic designs. It is also used to add project data.

Modifying these data outside SOLIDWORKS Electrical using different database editing software is not recommended. SOLIDWORKS Electrical has tools that add information to databases (such as data import or symbol creation). Each new version of SOLIDWORKS Electrical may contain new data that are automatically added to the existing data.
