Creating Planar Surfaces

Use the PlaneSurf command to create rectangular planar surfaces.

To create a planar surface by specifying its corners:

  1. Click Solids > Draw > Planar Surface (or type PlaneSurf).
  2. Specify the first corner of the planar surface.
  3. Specify the opposite corner of a rectangle.
  4. A rectangular planar surface is created parallel to the current coordinate system.

To create a planar surface from an existing object:

  1. Click Solids > Draw > Planar Surface (or type PlaneSurf).
  2. Enter the Objects option to specify objects.
  3. Select entities that form enclosed areas.

Command: PlaneSurf

Menu: Solids > Draw > Planar Surface
