Inspection

You can specify the inspection method and operation for each characteristic in the Inspection section of the Properties/Preferences PropertyManager.

To access the Inspection section, in the Table Manager, select the Characteristics tab. The Inspection section of the Characteristic tab then appears in the Properties/Preferences PropertyManager.

You can customize the values in the Operation, Classification, and Method lists. See Customizing Lists.

You can add values to multiple characteristics by multiselecting rows in the Table Manager or multiselecting balloons on a drawing.

Operation Specifies the characteristic's inspection process.
Classification Specifies the classification of defects, such as Major, Minor, Critical, and Incidental.
Method Method used to inspect the attribute.
Nonconformance # Specifies a number to track deviation from the specification.
Comments Field to enter comments for the characteristic.
AQL Acceptable Quality Level you select when you choose a sampling plan for this characteristic.
Sample size Number of units from the lot to inspect.
Accept Threshold of defective units for accepting the entire lot.
Reject Threshold of defective units for rejecting the entire lot.
Key Indicates whether the characteristic is a key characteristic and adds a customizable identifier to a balloon. These are characteristics whose variation has a significant impact on the quality of the part.
