Configure Document Dialog Box

When you open an assembly document, you can create a configuration and suppress or resolve all of the components at the same time. You can specify which configuration to use for the parts contained in the new assembly configuration.

To open this dialog box:

Click File > Open. 3DEXPERIENCE Users: If the Open from 3DEXPERIENCE dialog box appears, click This PC. In the dialog box, select an assembly document. Under Configurations, select <Advanced> and click Open.

Open currently selected configuration Opens the configuration in which the assembly was last saved.
New configuration showing all referenced models Opens the complete assembly. The components are resolved and shown regardless of their suppression and visibility state when last saved. All components appear in the assembly model. Enter a name for the configuration in Configuration name.
New configuration showing assembly structure only Opens the assembly structure only. The components are suppressed regardless of their state when last saved. No components appear in the assembly model until you change their suppression state to resolved. Enter a name for the configuration in Configuration name.
Use specified configuration for part references when available Any part that has a configuration with the specified name uses that configuration. Enter the name of the part configuration to use in Configuration name.
