Inserting a Template Text Field

You can place a text block with static text on a template. When published, the text appears in the 3D PDF document.

To insert static text:

  1. In the SOLIDWORKS 3D PDF Template Editor, click Text .
  2. Click to place the text block on the page.
  3. In the PropertyManager, click Template text field .
    A Label Area text block appears on the template.
  4. Select the Font Size, Font Family, and Text Color.
  5. Optionally, drag the text block to a location and resize it using the handles.
  6. Double-click inside the text block and type the text.
  7. Click outside of the text block.
