Create and Remove Dictionary Example (JavaScript)

This example constructs a Circle in a DraftSight drawing and adds and removes a dictionary to and from the Circle.
  1. Start DraftSight.
  2. Using the following form:
  3. Specify the center point and radius for the Circle:
    1. Type the x, y, and z coordinates for the center point of the Circle in Center point X, Center point Y, and Center point Z.
    2. Type a radius for the Circle in Radius.
  4. Type a name for the Circle's dictionary in Name.
  5. Type a name for a record to add to the Circle's dictionary in Record Name.
  6. Type the data for the record added to the Circle's dictionary in Record Data.
  7. Click Create.
  8. Examine the drawing to verify that the Circle was constructed.
  9. Examine the Output field in the form to verify:
    1. Dictionary was created for the Circle.
    2. Record was added to the dictionary.
    3. Data was added to the record.
    4. Record was removed from the dictionary.
    5. Dictionary was released and erased.

NOTES:

  • Errors are also printed to Output.
  • To recreate this example:
