Levels of cross references
There are several levels of cross references, according to the standard
used and the type of symbol.
- Parent
in line-type symbols (for example a circuit breaker)
- Parent
in table-type symbols (for example a coil)
- Child-type
symbols (for example a contact)
- Same level-type
symbols (for example a push button)
- Without
cross references (for example a power supply)
- Default
representation standard ANSI symbols
Each level of cross references gives a different representation of the
associated symbols.
Parent in table: A block including
the graphical representation of the circuits and location information
(drawing / column) is automatically generated in the Parent
in table type symbol alignment in the lower part of the drawing.

Parent in line: A block including
the graphical representation of the circuits and location information
(drawing / column) is automatically generated near the Parent
in line type symbol.

Child or Same
level: The cross references information is propagated in the form
of text in the #CROSS_REF attribute
for the symbol.

Without: Does not generate cross
references.
Default representation: A block
including the graphical representation of the circuits and location information
(drawing / column) is automatically generated in the Parent
in table type symbol alignment to the right of the column the symbol
was inserted into.

The level of cross references is defined in the parameters of the symbol
(see Symbol properties).
