Insert Printed Circuit Board

Printed Circuit Board |
This command opens a dialog box to insert a Printed Circuit Board. The
dialog box contains several options.
Create a new Printed Circuit Board
from a manufacturer part: Opens the manufacturer part selection
dialog box to search for a new manufacturer part. Then, the Component
properties dialog box opens to create the component mark associated
with the manufacturer part.
Create a new Printed
Circuit Board from an electronic design file: Opens a select file
dialog box. Select a .EMN file. SOLIDWORKS Electrical
imports the file data and a dialog box opens, asking you if you want to
copy the file in the software data folder. If you do not copy the file
in the data folder, it will not be included in the electrical project
archive file.
The Manufacturer part properties
dialog box opens to complete the manufacturer part data imported from
the .EMN file. Then, the Component properties
dialog box opens to create the component mark associated with the manufacturer
part.
Select existing Printed Circuit Board:
Opens the component selector. Select
the component and click the Select
button.

Dockable panel: Components
> Insert Printed Circuit Board |
This command is available in the contextual menu of a Printed Circuit
Board mark. Since the Printed Circuit Board is already selected, available
options appear on the dockable panel.

Pins the command, ensuring that the command continues to
remain active after first being used to insert a symbol. |

Stops the command after it is first used to insert a symbol. |

Ends the command. |

Returns to the previous interface. |
Specify the symbol to insert
Shows the last symbol that was inserted. If no symbol was saved, the
symbol selector opens automatically.
If you do not want to insert the presented symbol, click the Other
symbol button. The symbol selector opens, letting you choose another
symbol.
Options
Automatic marks: Automatically
apply a mark to the symbol without passing through the symbol properties
dialog box.
Adjust size to drawing unit:
Automatically adjust the size of the element to the unit system of the
drawing.
In the graphic interface,
1. Click the
insertion point.
2. Click the
point that marks the dimensions of the black box.
