Insert Printed Circuit Board

Menu: Schematic > Insert Printed Circuit Board

This command opens a dialog box to insert a Printed Circuit Board. The dialog box contains several options.

Create a new Printed Circuit Board from a manufacturer part: Opens the manufacturer part selection dialog box to search for a new manufacturer part. Then, the Component properties dialog box opens to create the component mark associated with the manufacturer part.

Create a new Printed Circuit Board from an electronic design file: Opens a select file dialog box. Select a .EMN file. SOLIDWORKS Electrical imports the file data and a dialog box opens, asking you if you want to copy the file in the software data folder. If you do not copy the file in the data folder, it will not be included in the electrical project archive file.

The Manufacturer part properties dialog box opens to complete the manufacturer part data imported from the .EMN file. Then, the Component properties dialog box opens to create the component mark associated with the manufacturer part.

Select existing Printed Circuit Board: Opens the component selector. Select the component and click the Select button.
