You can overwrite the part thickness assigned automatically by the
software.
To open the Modify Local Thickness PropertyManager, do one of
the following:
- In the PlasticsManager, right-click Shell Mesh
, and click Modify Local Thickness
.
- In the Plastics CommandManager, under Create Mesh, click
Modify Local Thickness.
The software uses an internal algorithm to estimate the part
thickness for use in the Shell analysis procedure only. This is a virtual thickness.
You can select mesh faces and overwite this value to modify the local thickness.
The graphics area displays a contour plot of the part
thickness assigned by the software.
