-LineStyle

Use the -LineStyle command to load LineStyles and set the active LineStyle.

It is the command window variant of the LineStyle command.

To load LineStyles and set the active LineStyle:

  1. Type -LineStyle at the command prompt.
  2. Specify an option:
    • ? to list. Displays a list of LineStyles defined in the drawing.
      1. Specify the LineStyle definition file to list, for example, inch.lin or mm.lin. Leave the input field empty to list all LineStyles.

        The LineStyles are listed with their names, descriptions, and definitions.

    • Load. Loads a LineStyle.
      1. Specify the LineStyle to load.
      2. Specify the LineStyle definition file (.lin) which contains the definition of the LineStyle to load.
    • Activate. Sets the active LineStyle.
      1. Specify the LineStyle name or type ? to list the loaded LineStyles.

        The specified LineStyle is made active.

    • Create. Creates a LineStyle and saves it to file.
      1. Specify a new LineStyle name, for example "DashDot2".
      2. Specify the name of an existing LineStyle definition file (.lin) to save the new LineStyle, for example "inch.lin".
      3. Specify a description for the LineStyle, for example "_ . _ . _ . _ . _".
      4. Specify the pattern descriptors.

        To define the pattern, use positive decimal values for dashes, negative decimal values for spaces, and 0 for dots, separated by commas. For example:

        1.0,-0.5,0,-0.5

        The resulting LineStyle definition in the file is:

        *DashDot2, _ . _ . _ . _ . _
        A,1.0,-0.5,0,-0.5

  3. Repeat step 2 as needed.
  4. Press Enter.
