Editing PolyLine Vertices

Use the EditVertex command to change vertices and segments of 2D PolyLines. You can insert, move, and delete vertices of PolyLines.

To edit PolyLine vertices:

  1. Type EditVertex at the command prompt.
  2. In the graphics area, select a 2D PolyLine containing the vertices to edit.
  3. The command starts with the start point of the specified PolyLine as the first vertex to edit. Step through the vertices using the Next and Previous options. The current vertex is marked by a cross.

To add PolyLine vertices:

  1. Type EditVertex.
  2. In the graphics area, select a 2D PolyLine and specify the Next option to proceed to a vertex.
  3. Specify the Insert option.
  4. Click in the graphics area or type coordinates to specify the position of the new vertex.
  5. The width of the new segment corresponds to the width values of the PolyLine.

To move PolyLine vertices:

  1. Type EditVertex.
  2. In the graphics area, select a 2D PolyLine and specify the Next option to proceed to a vertex you want to move.
  3. Specify the Move option.
  4. Click in the graphics area or type coordinates to specify the new position of the vertex.

To delete a PolyLine vertex:

  1. Type EditVertex.
  2. In the graphics area, select a 2D PolyLine and specify the Next option to proceed to a vertex you want to delete.
  3. Specify the Delete option.
