Locking User Interface Elements
Use the LockInterface command to lock the location of docked and floating toolbars. By default, toolbars are unlocked.
If you lock toolbars, you still can open and close toolbars.
To lock toolbars:
- Type LockInterface at the command prompt.
- Specify a value which can be a sum of the following bit codes:

Unlocks all toolbars (default). |
1 |
Locks docked toolbars. |
4 |
Locks floating toolbars. |
5 |
Locks docked and floating toolbars. |
Other values are currently unused.
To lock or unlock floating or docking toolbars using the mouse:
- Right-click the menu bar or a docked toolbar to display the shortcut menu.
- Click Lock Location, then on the submenu:
- Select or clear Floating Toolbars.
- Select or clear Docking Toolbars.
