Cycling Through Entities During Selection

Selection cycling lets you selectively specify entities that are close to or on top of other entities.

You can preselect an entity with this method or use it when you are prompted to specify entities in the graphics area.

To cycle through entities during selection:

  1. Make sure pre-selection highlighting is selected (see Previewing and Highlighting Entity Selections).
  2. Hover the pointer over entities that are close to each other or overlap. All entities that pass through the selection box are selection candidates.
  3. Hold the Shift key and press the Spacebar repeatedly to highlight one entity after the other until the desired entity is highlighted.
  4. Release the Shift key and click the highlighted entity.
  5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 as needed to specify multiple entities that are close to each other or overlap.

Note: To set the Selection Box size, use the Options command (Click User Preferences > Drafting Options > Entity Selection > Selection Settings).
