Item folders organize items into groups.
You can
use

- Item folders can contain items and subfolders. Item folders
cannot contain files.
- Operate on item folder content by right-clicking a folder and
selecting a command. For example, to check out all items in a folder and any
subfolders, right-click the folder and select Check
Out.
- An administrator can make an item folder accessible to particular
users and groups, and not accessible to others.
- Item folders exist only in the vault database. They do not exist
on your local file system and are therefore not visible from
SOLIDWORKS PDM
File Explorer.
