Saving Models to Your PC

The Save to This PC command lets you save models on your local disk or any network drive you can access.

When you select Save to This PC, SOLIDWORKS Connected opens File Explorer, and lets you save models the same way as you do with SOLIDWORKS Desktop. If you are working on models that are already saved locally, this command saves them back that location.

To save models to your PC:

Click File > Save to this PC.
In the Save As dialog box, enter the File name, and click Save.

You can also access the Save to This PC command by pressing Ctrl + S or by expanding Save in the Standard toolbar.

Keep in mind that other team members cannot share files that you save on your PC. To collaborate on your file, you can save it on your PC and then save it on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform in a collaborative space by your team.
