Parts List or Edit Parts List Dialog Boxes

You can modify the layout of the parts list and change the appearance of the parts list data.

To open the dialog box, on the ribbon, from Mechanical Annotate, click Parts List.

The dialog box toolbar contains the following tools:
  Option Description
Zoom to Zooms to the part of the selected row.
Highlight Highlights the geometry of the selected row.
Insert column left Inserts a column to the left of the selected column. Opens the Select Columns dialog box to add columns that are not included in the parts list.
Insert column right Inserts a column to the right of the selected column. Opens the Select Columns dialog box to add columns that are not included in the parts list.
Remove column Removes the selected column from the parts list.
Merge rows Merges multiple selected rows into one row.
Split rows Splits a merged row.
Sort Displays the Sort dialog box, to specify options to sort the parts list.
Remove overrides Removes overrides from the current selection and restores their default values.

Layout Settings

You can define the layout of the parts list.
Option Description
Parts list name Lets you name the parts list, which appears on the title bar of the parts list in the graphics area.
Insertion point Sets the insertion point of the parts list and parts list title.
Insert header Displays a column header of the parts list.
Insert title Displays a title of the parts list.
Show grip frame Displays the grip frame of the parts list.

The grip frame displays the extent of the parts list that is not displayed as a whole of the parts list. It lets you see the effect of splitting of the parts list by dragging.
Line spacing Specifies the text lines, Single, Double, or Triple, to use in the rows of the parts list.

Parts List Content

Various columns are available depending on the properties of the part references that you specified in the graphics area.

Part list split

Groups options to wrap the parts list when the number of data rows increases.

Option Description
Enable split Splits the parts list.
Wrap left Wraps the parts list to the left.
Wrap right Wraps the parts list to the right.
Number of rows Specifies the maximum number of rows in the parts list. When the number of rows is exceeded, the software splits the parts list.
Number of sections Specifies the number of sections into which the parts list splits.
Settings Opens the Parts List Settings Dialog Box.
