Saving a CustomBlock as a Separate Drawing

You can save a CustomBlock as a separate drawing file that you can insert into other drawings.

Use the CBWBlockAs command to save a Block as a separate drawing with a specified name.

To save a CustomBlock as a separate drawing:

  1. Open the Block in the Block Editor.
  2. Type CBWBlockAs at the command prompt.
  3. In the dialog box, specify the new name of the Block. This name becomes the name of the drawing file.
  4. Select Save Block as separate drawing.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Navigate to the folder where you want to store the drawing file and click Save.
