Using the Edit Note Dialog Box

Use the Edit Note dialog box to edit and format Notes.

Specify the options as needed:

  1. TextStyle : Specifies a TextStyle.
  2. Text Font : Specifies a typeface using an *.shx file or a True Type Font file. *.shx files are installed with the system. In addition, you can use any True Type Font installed on your computer .
  3. Text Height : Specifies the text height for subsequent or selected text.
  4. Bold : Specifies bold formatting for subsequent or selected text. Applicable with True Type Fonts only.
  5. Italic : Specifies italic formatting for subsequent or selected text. Applicable with True Type Fonts only.
  6. Underline : Specifies underline formatting for subsequent or selected text.
  7. Overline : Specifies overline formatting for subsequent or selected text.
  8. LineColor : Specifies the color for subsequent or selected text.
  9. Undo : Removes the previous text editing or formatting.
  10. Redo : Restores the state prior to issuing Undo.
  11. Copy : Copies highlighted text to the clipboard.
  12. Cut : Removes the highlighted text and copies the text to the clipboard.
  13. Paste : Inserts text from the clipboard at the cursor position.
  14. Uppercase : Changes the case of highlighted text to uppercase.
  15. Lowercase : Changes the case of highlighted text to lowercase.
  16. Numbered List : Makes subsequent or selected text a numbered list, or turns off the list property.
  17. Lowercase List : Makes subsequent or selected text a lowercase lettered list, or turns off the list property.
  18. Uppercase List : Makes subsequent or selected text an uppercase lettered list, or turns off the list property
  19. Left , Center , Left : Changes the horizontal alignment of paragraphs (left-aligned text, centered text, or right-aligned text).
  20. Top , Middle , Bottom : Changes the vertical alignment of the Note in relation to the insertion point to the top, middle, or bottom.
  21. Special Characters: Inserts a symbol (degrees, plus/minus, diameter, and other symbols and characters such as non-breaking spaces) at the cursor position.
  22. Insert Field : Inserts a Field at the cursor position.
  23. OK: Finishes Note creation.
  24. Cancel: Cancels Note creation.
  25. Help: Displays this help topic.

  Note: Use the NoteOptions command to specify whether you want to edit Notes in place or in a dialog box.
