You
can use the Component Name and Description dialog box to
specify display options for the FeatureManager design tree.
You can specify display options at the system level or the document
level. When using the system level settings, you cannot change the settings at the
document level.
To access the display options at the system level, click
and select Override document level tree
display. Click Component Name and
Description to open the dialog box.
To access the display options at the document level, clear Override document level tree display in System Options. In the FeatureManager design tree,
right-click a part or an assembly, and click .
When you select Override document level
tree display, the system level options override the document level
options for the component names in the FeatureManager design tree. The system level
options do not overwrite the document level options in the document. The options in
the Component Name and Description dialog box
are disabled at the document level.
In offline mode, some options are not available. When the selected
options are not available, SOLIDWORKS displays Component
Name for Primary. For
Secondary and Tertiary, SOLIDWORKS does not display values for unavailable
options.
For example, you select Physical Product
Title for Primary, Physical Product Description for Secondary, and Revision for Tertiary. While
in offline mode, SOLIDWORKS displays Component
Name as the selected options are not available. When you return to
online mode, SOLIDWORKS displays Physical Product
Title, Physical Product
Description, and Revision
for the component name.
