You can delete unused
blocks, text styles, line types, and other elements in the definition table of the document.
Purging DWG files reduces or optimizes file size.

From the Purge dialog box, select the elements to purge. You can
use the multiselection keys (Ctrl,
Shift).
The Purge dialog box displays Purgeable
and Non-purgeable elements. It is possible to purge an element if
it is not used in the DWG file.

In the Purge dialog box, do any of the following:

Description |
Confirm the deletion of each element |
When selected, a message opens on each deletion. You must validate each
deletion. |
Purge nested elements |
When selected, any nested elements (elements that depend on other elements) are
also deleted. |
Purge Selection |
Purges the selected elements. |
Purge All |
Purges all elements regardless of the selection. |
