Renumbering Documents

You can renumber all the documents of the electrical project, folders, books, and drawings.

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Right-click a book or folder and click Renumber documents .
    • Click Process > Renumber documents .
  2. In the dialog box, specify options for renumbering.
    Option Description
    Selection
    • Whole project. Renumbers all the electrical project documents.
    • Current book. Renumbers only the documents in the current book (the book associated with the current scheme).
    • Current folder. Renumbers only the documents in the current folder (the folder associated with the current scheme).
    • Selected documents. Click ... to select the documents you want to renumber.
    Renumbering mode
    • Update marks. Updates the document marks if you change the numbering formula. The ORDERNO value does not change.
    • Recalculate order numbers. Recalculates all document numbers except for numbers that are modified manually. The ORDERNO value is also changed. Select Recalculate manual marks to recalculate all document marks.
    Elements
    • Elements. Displays the list of available documents.
    • Selection. Lets you select the elements you want to renumber and displays the number of elements to renumber.
    • First number. Enter the first number assigned to the element.
    • Increment. Enter the incremental step value. For example, if "First number" = 10 and "Step" = 2, elements is numbered: 10, 12, 14, 16...
    • Formula. Displays the marking formula managed in the electrical project configuration.
    • Fx. Click ... to access the Formula management to modify the formula, used to renumber the elements. If you change the formula, it replaces the electrical project configuration formula. For mre information, see Formula Management.
    Mark configuration Lets you access the Mark tab of the electrical project configuration. For more information, see Mark.
    When you validate the renumbering, the relevant books, folders, and drawings are renumbered. The mark formulas, if modified, gets automatically updated in the electrical project configuration.
  3. Click OK.
