About the Creation of PDF Templates

By default, Composer generates PDF files using standard templates. You can create and use custom templates to suit specific needs. Creating your own template requires Adobe Acrobat. Use Button Tool to create button zones that Composer replaces with content.

Tips: You can use an application such as Microsoft Word or Microsoft PowerPoint to create the template and then open the document in Adobe Acrobat to convert to PDF. For Composer to replace zones, use the following names:

  • SeemageReplace - Replaced by the 3D content. This zone is required for PDF export.

Note: "Seemage" is the original name of the company that created Composer.

The following zones are valid for U3D export only:

  • SeemageBOM - Replaced by the interactive BOM.
  • SeemageConfig - Replaced by view selection buttons (with or without icons).
  • SeemageConfig0, SeemageConfig1 … - Specifies the exact position of the view buttons. Create as many zones as there are views, with numbering starting at 0.
  • SeemageLabel0, SeemageLabel1 … - Specifies extra zones for button labels. Create as many as zones as there are views, numbering them starting at 0.
