Time Settings

The Time Settings dialog box lets you change timeline and animation settings.

To display this dialog box, click Animate > Settings > Time Settings .

Timeline

This category enables you to define timeline options.

Command NameDescription
Start timeSpecifies the earliest time visible in the timeline. When you change the value, Length updates automatically.
End timeSpecifies the latest time visible in the timeline. When you change the value, Length updates automatically.
LengthSpecifies the amount of time shown in the timeline. When you change the value, End time updates automatically.
Update markers when moving keysMoves markers when moving keys. When this option is not enabled, you can dynamically enable it by pressing Shift when dragging a key.

Animation

This category enables you to define animation length.

Command NameDescription
LengthRescales the entire animation. Existing keys are adjusted. You can also drag the mouse on the timeline for the entire timeline or just a range.
