Removing Entities from Dimension Bounding Boxes

In some situations, not all entities that overlap a dimension bounding box must be included. Use the RemoveFromDimBoundingBox command to exclude entities from dimension bounding boxes, without deleting them from the drawing. Dimension bounding boxes update automatically based on the remaining set of entities.

To remove entities from dimension bounding boxes:

  1. Type RemoveFromDimBoundingBox at the command prompt.
  2. In the graphics area, specify the entities to remove from the dimension bounding box and press Enter.

    You can specify entities from different dimension bounding boxes.

    The affected dimension bounding boxes adjust based on the remaining set of entities.

    Alternatively, you can exclude entities from a dimension bounding box by right-clicking the bounding box in the graphics area and select Dimension Bounding Box > Remove from.
