Attaching a URL

Use the AttachLink command to attach URLs to entities or areas in the drawing. If you move the pointer over the entity or area, the URL displays.

To attach a URL:

  1. Type AttachLink at the command prompt.
  2. Specify an option:
    • Area: Attaches the URL to a rectangle you draw. When prompted, draw the corners of a rectangle. The rectangle is represented as as a PolyLine entity on the URLLAYER Layer. To change the visibility and properties of the Layer, use the Layer command.
    • Entity: Attaches the URL to an entity. Select the entity in the graphics area.
  3. Type the URL.

To access the link in a browser:

  • Press Ctrl and click the URL.

  Use the DetachLink command to detach hyperlinks from entities.
