Identifying Coordinates

Use the GetXY command to determine the coordinates of a point.

GetXY can be used as a transparent command.

To identify the coordinates of a point:

  1. Click Tools > Inquiry > Get Coordinate (or type GetXY).
  2. In the graphics area, select the point to identify.

    The coordinates display in the command window.

  If the point you want to determine is geometrically significant, for example, a start or end point of a drawing entity, use EntitySnaps.

Command: GetXY

Menu: Tools > Inquiry > Get Coordinate

Ribbon: Manage > Utilities > Inquiry > Get Coordinate
