You
can specify the document-level overall detailing drafting standard, and rename, copy,
delete, export, or load saved custom drafting standards. Available for all document
types.
To open this page:
With a drawing open, click Options (Standard toolbar), select the Document Properties tab, and then select Drafting Standard.
Overall drafting standard |
Select an overall standard:
- ANSI
- ISO
- DIN
- JIS
- BSI
- GOST
- GB
In addition to these standards, you can select any custom drafting standards you create. Each time you select an overall standard, the base standard for each detail updates to reflect this selection.

Rename |
Renames a custom drafting standard. When you rename a
standard, the old name is deleted. |
Copy |
Copies the custom drafting standard to a standard of a new
name without deleting the standard. |
Delete |
Deletes a copied or renamed standard. |
Load From External File |
Loads a custom standard from a file. |
Save to External File |
Exports a custom standard to a file.
(Only
available if
you
modified the drafting

SOLIDWORKS® saves the
remaining
document properties as part of the drawing template and does not
include those properties with the drafting

Sets the default case as all uppercase for all new notes and balloons in a document. |

Sets the default as all uppercase for all new tables in a document. |

Sets the default as all uppercase for all new dimensions and hole callouts in a document. |
Exclusion list |
Lists strings that you specify to exclude from automatic capitalization. To exclude strings such as units of measurement from capitalization, enter them in the box, separated by semicolons.
