Basic Product Lifecycle Actions in MySession

You can perform product lifecycle management (PLM) actions on files in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform using the MySession widget.

The MySession widget displays a tree view of the active file and a list of actions that you can access through the action bar and context menu.
You can access commonly used MySession commands from various locations in SOLIDWORKS Connected. See Accessing MySession Commands.
Command Description
Open When you open a file, it downloads an up-to-date version of the file.
Save Opens the Save dialog box to save selected files to the collaborative space.
Save as New Saves the object as a new object in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
Save with Options Opens the Save dialog box for the selected objects.
Lock Locks the selected file.

You can lock files to prevent other users from using the same file for modification at the same time. This helps you to avoid concurrent changes.

Unlock Removes the lock status of the selected file so others can modify it.

You can reload only the selected file, its references only, or the file with references.

Relations Displays the ecosystem of the related objects by navigating on relationships and paths.
Replace Content Opens the File Selection Box to select an object that replaces the object selected earlier.
